SMSF Audit-Trustees
Self Managed Superfund Auditors is a specialist accounting practice that only provides audit services for Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF).
Audit of SMSF are all we do…
By specialising we offer a service that is unmatched in terms of timeliness and audit quality. All our audit documentations are well researched and subject to Quality Assurance process conducted by our Professional Accounting body.
We understand the importance of “timeliness” and as such, we have a turnaround policy of 10 working days. This is especially critical for Accountants in Public Practice with tight deadlines. We ensure that all our work are conducted in an accurate and timely manner, based on professional integrity, independence and cost effectiveness.
Superannuation Fund is the nest egg for the majority of Australians, and it provides financial security at old age. When one chooses to manage and run his or her own fund, he or she also chooses to be regulated by the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
Annual monitoring is required not only in the form of your investment strategies, but also in the way you manage your fund in terms of the SIS Act and SIS Regulations that are modified from time to time.
With the many changes happening to the Act and Regulations, trustees and accountants have found it challenging to keep themselves up to date with the changes. At SMSF-AUDIT, we offer careful monitoring of your fund if required, to meet stringent compliance of regulator.
Upon completion of audit, you will receive a statement of compliance in accordance with the ATO guidance, SIS Act and SIS Regulations that means you are compliant with the Act in the way you manage and operate the fund. This will be critical in terms of the amount of tax you pay and how you access your benefits during retirement.
Our role as SMSF Auditors
Our role as SMSF Auditors is to “listen to you” and at the same time maintain professional independence at all times.
Unlike some accounting firms, that provide administration, tax and audit services, we at Self Managed Superfund Auditors only provide an independent SMSF audit service.
This ensures we maintain professional independence at all times. We are always updating and monitoring our audit procedures so that we are able to perform our audits at the highest quality.
Continuous professional education forms the corner stone of our practice, and that is precisely what sets us apart from the competition.
Getting the right service from the right professional
Approved SMSF Auditors are required by their professional bodies to comply with minimum professional and ethical standards.
CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the National Institute of Accountants have developed a set of competency requirements for auditors of self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).
Public practitioners who are auditing SMSFs must meet the following professional standards requirements:
• hold a practicing certificate issued by the professional accounting body of which they are a member (CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia or the National Institute of Accountants)
• have continuing professional indemnity cover
• undertake continuing professional development
• ensure that those who undertake work on their behalf have appropriate knowledge and experience, and are properly supervised in the conduct of the audit
